Monthly Case sharing of the JIDE technical Team
Extreme rescue in crisis scenarios: JIDE has achieved full-range standard solution acceptance from low to high within the 0-200mg/L range
Location: Water quality testing station at the sewage discharge outlet of a leading food manufacturing plant in South China
Date: April 2026
Solution team: JIDE Software Development Department
1. Crisis background:
This is a typical monitoring point for slaughterhouse wastewater, with extremely poor water quality (black water body and a large amount of suspended solids). The biggest pain point faced by the customer is not that the equipment is broken, but that the measurement is inaccurate. The JIDE total nitrogen online analyzer (high-range version) has already helped the customer solve the accuracy problem. However, the third-party inspection agency designated by the local government was completely unaware of the actual situation and still conducted the acceptance according to the conventional standards - using 1.5mg/L standard solution.
It is well known that high-range chemical water quality online analyzers are extremely difficult to test low-range standard solutions because the original algorithms and pipeline designs cannot accurately capture low concentration values. Now, the third-party supervisory agency requires that if the 1.5mg/L standard solution test is not passed, a penalty notice will be issued, considering the on-site monitoring data unreliable. The customer was extremely anxious. This seemed like an impossible task.

2. Solution process:
Facing this "tough nut to crack", our technical team did not shirk responsibility but instead held several hours of emergency technical meetings to simultaneously optimize both the hardware and software. Through software upgrades and algorithm reconfiguration, the device is remotely upgraded to a new version, with a high dilution factor (6 times) enabled, and a quadratic curve algorithm is adopted. Through the "0-10-160" three-point calibration, it perfectly covers the measurement requirements from low concentration to high concentration (0-200 range).
Meanwhile, colleagues on site were also making improvements to the hardware. The on-site reaction tank was severely corroded, and dirt accumulated on the pipelines and bases. The on-site application engineer not only replaced the reaction tank but also thoroughly cleaned the main channels of the waste liquid valve and the discharge valve. In response to the issue of zero point being affected, an innovative operation process of "two zero point verifications" was adopted to ensure the stability of the baseline.

3. Final result:
After a day of hard work, the on-site third-party measurement data was extremely impressive: at a high range of 200mg/L, the measurement result of the 1.5mg/L standard solution was 1.53mg/L, with an extremely small error, fully meeting the third-party comparison requirements and completely eliminating the customer's "rectification crisis".
At the same time, we offer value-added services to our clients: Considering the extremely poor water quality of this site (black water), we did not leave after the repair but instead formulated a detailed "nanny-level maintenance manual" for the client.

Weekly: Clean the water sample valve and waste liquid valve.
Every two weeks: Clean the connecting pipes.
Monthly: Clean the diaphragm of the common valve.
This not only resolves the current malfunction but also prevents future damage from the root, greatly extending the equipment's lifespan.
Through the resolution of this crisis, JIDE's equipment can achieve full-range standard solution verification, which is sufficient to handle various strict third-party inspections and is stable and reliable in all working conditions.
