The crude, "surface water" installation method was inadequate to withstand the harsh conditions of a wastewater treatment plant. The tank's rapid water flow and high sludge concentration caused the probes to violently impact within the tank.

2. Hidden Chemical Corrosion: Encountering Hellish Hydrofluoric Acid (HF) Conditions

During subsequent in-depth inspection, engineers discovered that two devices, despite intact seals, suffered severe internal leaks, rendering their circuit boards unusable. Shockingly, the JIDE's originally high-standard SS316 stainless steel corrosion-resistant casing had been corroded into several holes.

• Cause Analysis: An emergency check of the site conditions with the client's technical supervisor revealed that two of the project's wastewater treatment lines contained high concentrations of hydrofluoric acid (HF). Hydrofluoric acid is highly corrosive to glass and most metals; traditional 316L stainless steel is extremely susceptible to its corrosive effects.
